West Virginia Real Estate Licensing Information, Reciprocity, and Portability
- State Governing Body: West Virginia Real Estate Commission
Reciprocity: If you are licensed in another state, you will be required to provide a Certification of Licensure from each state you are currently, or were previously, licensed in. You will be exempt from the National portion of the exam; however, you will have to sit for the WV state portion.
Military Portability:
- Hold a current license, certification, or registration from another jurisdiction with requirements that are substantially equivalent to or exceed the requirements in this state.
- Demonstrate competency in the occupation, such as through continuing education or recent experience (at least two of the past five years).
- Have not committed any act that would lead to refusal, suspension, or revocation of a license in this state.
- In good standing with no disciplinary actions or pending complaints.
