Salesperson Pre Licensing Education Requirements
- Pursuant with ruling §47-2853.172 eligibility is as follows:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be able to read, write and understand the English language
- Provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully complete 60 hour of education
- Complete examination and apply for licensure within 6 months of passing exam

Broker Pre Licensing Education Requirements
- Pursuant with ruling §47-2853.172 eligibility is as follows:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be able to read, write and understand English
- Provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully complete 135 hour education
- Have 2 years experience as a licensed salesperson, the active license must immediately precede the application date.
- Pass both National and State exam and apply for licensure within six months of passing.

Salesperson Continuing Education Requirements
- Pursuant with the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations and District of Columbia Register Section 17-2605 renewals will be as follows:
- Renewals are every two years after initial licensure by August 31st of odd-numbered years
- Complete 15 hours of education to include 9 credit hours of mandatory courses with curriculum decided by the Commission, and 6 credit hours of electives.
- At least 60 days prior to expiration, the Commission shall send a renewal application to licensee at the last known address.
