Indiana Broker Pre-Licensing Education Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully have completed 90 hours of approved education
  • Complete and pass background check and not be convicted of any felonies
  • Pass State and National exam and apply for licensure within one year of completing education
  • Pay for applicable exams
  • Be sponsored by an actively licensed real estate managing broker

Indiana Managing Broker Pre-Licensing Education Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old or older
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have held an active broker’s license for at least 3 years
  • Complete and pass 24 hours of Broker Management Course
  • Pay applicable fees

Broker Post-Licensing Education Requirements

  • During the first 2 years after the license was issued, take and pass 30 hours of post licensing education instead of continuing education for that renewal term.

Broker Continuing Education Requirements

  • Renewal periods are every 3 years
  • Must complete 12 hours of Board-approved Broker CE each year (July 1-June 30) to total 36 for every 3 years 

Managing Broker Continuing Education Requirements

  • Renewal periods are every 3 years
  • Must complete 12 hours each year of Board-approved CE (July 1-June 30). 4 of the 12 hours must be Board-approved specifically for Managing Brokers. The remaining 8 hours may be Board-approved Broker CE to total 36 hours for every 3 years.
