Your Career in Texas Real Estate Starts Here

The Texas Real Estate Principles I licensing course has successfully educated thousands of students on the path to their Texas license. Ready to join them?

Based on the best-selling Modern Real Estate Practice in Texas book, this Principles I course, covers everything you need to know to pass the Texas licensing exam in a convenient online format when paired with the Principles II course as well. Revised to meet the new TREC outline for Principles I, this 30-hour course satisfies TREC curriculum requirements and contains a variety of study tools including interactive exercises, reading comprehension quizzes, and links to all the relevant forms and websites to prepare students for the prelicensing exam. In addition, the course includes supplemental lecture-style videos providing additional instruction on key topics.

Proctored Final Exam: The Texas Real Estate Commission requires a proctored final exam for your licensing course. You will need to arrange for a proctor, who is someone who will make sure you take the test without outside assistance. Your exam must be proctored by a disinterested third party (at least 18 years of age) with no financial or emotional interest in your passing the exam. Your supervisor, a subordinate, or a family member may not serve as your exam proctor. If you are unable to secure a disinterested third party to proctor your final exam, Kaplan offers Virtual Classroom Proctoring for a $29-per-session fee.
