Real estate exams are administered by PSI Services LLC, a private company. Exams appointments are available on a first come, first served basis. Most students are able to schedule exams about one week in advance. The PSI Tennessee Affiliate Broker Exam should be taken after completion of ninety (90) hours (which includes a 30-hour “Course for New Affiliates” prior to their license being issued) of real estate education in real estate principles/fundamentals, and our optional PSI Exam Prep course. Your education provider will provide your eligibility electronically to PSI. Upon passing ALL portions of the examination, you must apply for your license at https://core.tn.gov within six (6) months of passing the examinations.
Register directly with PSI services online at www.psiexams.com or by telephone at 800-733-9267. Fax and standard mail registration are also available. Download and refer to PSI’s Candidate information Bulletin for details.
• Johnson City
PSI has examination centers in many other regions across the United States. You may take this examination at any of these locations.
On the day of the examination you should arrive 30 minutes before your appointment. This extra time is for sign-in, identification, answering 5 TREC required qualifying questions, and familiarizing yourself with the examination process. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted to the examination site and you will forfeit your examination registration fee. TREC requires fingerprints for all initial license applications. It isn’t a requirement for taking the examinations.
You must provide 2 forms of identification. One must be a VALID form of government-issued identification (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) which bears your signature and has your photograph. The second ID must have your signature and preprinted legal name. All identification provided must match the name on the registration form and your course completion certificates.
