Real estate exams are administered by PSI Services LLC, a private company. Exams appointments are available on a first come, first served basis. Most students are able to schedule exams about one week in advance. The PSI Pennsylvania Salesperson License Exam should be taken after completion of seventy-five (75) hours of basic real estate courses and our optional PSI Exam Prep course. To register for the exam you will provide PSI with a copy of the Certificate of Completion for the required courses that will be issued by the education provider. Keep a copy of this document to provide to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission when requesting licensure. When you have passed both portions of the examination (within a three year period), you may apply for licensure by submitting a completed application to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission. You may apply online at www.mylicense.state.pa.us.

On the day of the examination you should arrive 30 minutes before your appointment. This extra time is for sign-in, identification, and familiarizing yourself with the examination process. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted to the examination site and you will forfeit your examination registration fee. Your picture will be taken during check-in, and will be on the score report. If this is an issue for you, please contact PSI two weeks prior to your examination date.
You must provide 2 forms of identification. One must be a VALID form of government-issued identification (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) which bears your signature and has your photograph. The second ID must have your signature and preprinted legal name. All identification provided must match the name on the Examination Registration Form, Registration Confirmation Notice, and your course completion certificates.
There are two portions to the exam:
Your score will be given to you immediately following completion of the examination.
If you do not pass, you will immediately receive an unsuccessful notification on the screen along with a diagnostic report indicating your strengths and weaknesses by examination type. An official score report will be printed at the examination site.
