Missouri Real Estate Licensing Information, Reciprocity, and Portability
- Average time to complete licensing education: 2.5 months
- State governing body: Missouri Real Estate Commission
Reciprocity: Missouri offers partial reciprocity.
- Steps to Real Estate License Reciprocity in Missouri:
- Step 1: Pass the state portion of the Missouri salesperson exam
- Step 2: Complete the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice (MREP) course
- Step 3: Submission of application must be sent to MREC within 6 months of passing the state portion of the Missouri salesperson exam
- Step 4: Submit a license history certificate from the originating state within 3 months of application (Note: a copy is not acceptable)
Military Portability:
- Individuals may apply for a Missouri license in the same occupation/profession
- Applicants must have been licensed in the other jurisdiction for at least 1 year
- They must submit proof of current licensure and proof of being licensed for at least 1 year
- Upon request, occupational license fees will be waived
