Arkansas Real Estate Salesperson Licensing
Requirements to Obtain a Salesperson License:
A. Be at least 18 years old
B. Complete 60 hours of real estate education, of which 30 hours must be in the Basic Principles of Real Estate
C. Complete fingerprinting and apply for the real estate license examination (please see all fees, applications, and other questions on the state’s website here: arec.arkansas.gov. For any questions about the testing provider, see this link: http://www.asisvcs.com/publications/pdf/090400.pdf)
D. Pass the Arkansas state and national exam
E. Send all fees and documentation to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission no later than 90 days after passing the examinations
Arkansas Real Estate Broker Licensing
Requirements to Obtain a Broker’s License:
A. Be at least 18 years old
B. Complete 60 hours of real estate education; 45 hours must be the commission-developed Broker Prelicense Education course
C. Have been licensed as an active real estate salesperson or broker for no less than 24 months within the previous 48-month period preceding the date of application. Written request of such experience requirement may be waived for a real estate broker applicant who has held an active real estate broker license for a period of not less than 18 months or has experience acceptable to the commission in a field considered real estate-related for a period of not less than 24 months within the previous 48
D. Pass the licensure examination
E. Send all fees and documentation to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission no later than 90 days after passing the examination
Real Estate Salesperson Post-Licensing
A. Complete 18 hours of post-licensing education during the first year of licensure
Real Estate Broker Post-Licensing
A. Complete 30 hours of post-licensing education during the first year of licensure
Real Estate Salesperson Continuing Education
A. Every year a salesperson must complete seven credit hours of education to include one hour with the required topic of Personal Safety in the Real Estate Marketplace
Real Estate Broker Continuing Education
A. Every year must complete seven credit hours of education to include one hour with the required topic of Personal Safety in the Real Estate Marketplace
