Requirements to Obtain a Home Inspectors License in Tennessee

A. Be 18 years of age or older
B. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
C. Complete 90 hours of education
D. Pass National Home Inspection Examination
E. Obtain General LIability Insurance- must include minimum of $500,000 valid policy number (TBA not accepted) effective coverage dates.
F. Obtain Errors and Omissions Insurance
G. Submit application and pay applicable fee

Requirements to Renew a Tennessee Home Inspectors License

A. Renewals are every two years following the date of issuance
B. Complete 32 hours of education
C. Must submit education no later than 30 days before expiration, renewals are done online here
