The 2025-2026 General Update (GENUP) course is a 4-hour continuing education course written by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. This course must be completed by all non-BIC or non-BIC-eligible North Carolina real estate licensees who wish to renew their licenses for the 2025-2026 license year and provides 4 of the 8 hours of continuing education required each year.

The 2025-2026 GENUP NC real estate Course includes a student manual supplement which covers several pertinent topics for North Carolina real estate licensees. These topics include agency, fair housing, law and rules updates, licensing and education, and some of the most frequently asked questions.
