Requirements for Out-of-State Salespeople:

  • You must contact MREC before submitting your application to learn about your state’s specific reciprocal requirements 
  • These requirements vary widely by state and are not available online

Military Portability:

  • Applicant holds a current and valid license in another state with a similar scope of practice, as determined by the Mississippi Occupational Licensing Board, and has held that license for at least 1 year
  • The applicant must not have committed any act in another state that would have led to license denial, suspension, or revocation in Mississippi
  • The applicant must be in good standing with the licensing board in the other state
  • The applicant must not have a disqualifying criminal record as per Mississippi law
  • The applicant must not have surrendered a license due to negligence or intentional misconduct
  • The applicant must not have any pending complaints, allegations, or investigations related to unprofessional conduct or alleged crimes in another state
  • All applicable fees in Mississippi must be paid
