If you are a residential broker who is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, you can complete your Code of Ethics and Fair Housing requirements with this continuing education package. It features four required courses, one ethics course, and one fair housing course.
This Package Includes:
- REQUIRED Maryland Ethics and Predatory Lending Online Course (3 Credit Hours): This online course meets the 3-hour ethics continuing education requirement. Topics include an extended discussion of the Maryland Code of Ethics and how it pertains to contemporary real estate concepts like flipping and predatory lending.
- REQUIRED Maryland Legislative Update Online Course (3 Credit Hours): This online real estate course meets the 3-hour requirement for continuing education in law and regulation. Explore topics like advertising, environmental issues, and legislation affecting rental and sales transactions, and more. It pulls together the latest information to help busy real estate professionals comply with new requirements and provide superior service to consumers.
- REQUIRED Real Estate Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures—Residential Online Course (3 Credit Hours): This online course meets the 3-hour agency continuing education requirement. This course gives Maryland licensees the information required under Maryland law for license renewal. It includes MREC’s recently released six-page outline and a PowerPoint presentation of frequently asked questions.
- REQUIRED MREC Supervision Online Course (1.5 Credit Hours): This online course meets the 1.5-credit-hours requirement for the Category I Supervision class that all Maryland brokers, managers, and team leaders must take to renew their licenses. MREC Supervision is designed to make brokers, branch office managers, and team leaders aware of their responsibilities to provide reasonable and adequate supervision of the activities that licensees doing business on behalf of the brokerage are engaged in.
- 2025/2027 Association Ethics Online Course (3 Credit Hours)*: Based on Everyday Ethics in Real Estate, this Maryland course presents the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics and information on making ethical decisions in a 3-hour format that can be used to fulfill NAR’s real estate ethics training requirement. Through an in-depth discussion of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, you will be able to understand the responsibilities and duties required of REALTORS® and how the code can be used as a guide to proper conduct for all real estate practitioners. It includes case studies and interpretations based on actual situations of alleged unethical conduct.
- Fair Housing Online Course (2 Credit Hours)*: Today’s real estate practitioner must establish business practices that comply with fair housing laws and offer equal professional service to all. Consistency, objectivity, and documentation are critical in accomplishing this objective. This 2-hour MD course includes the topics pertinent to fair housing in today's real estate world including law, and diversity and unconscious bias.
