The state of Ohio requires 30 hours of continuing education (CE) to be completed every three years before the expiration date on your Ohio real estate license. If you are an Ohio broker who is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, you can complete your Code of Ethics requirement and all 30 hours with this CE package that features 12 hours of mandatory core courses and 18 hours of our best-selling elective CE courses.
This real estate course package includes:
- REQUIRED Ohio Canons and Codes: Your Professional Guidelines Online Course (3 Credit Hours): Learn the ethical guidelines you are expected to follow as part of Ohio’s Canons of Ethics for the Real Estate Industry. A violation of the Canons of Ethics is a violation of the law. Ethical behavior not only reflects on the licensee’s performance, but also the company with which the licensee is associated and the real estate industry as a whole.
- REQUIRED Ohio Core Law: Disclosure, Inspection and Environmental Concerns in Real Estate Online Course (3 Credit Hours): This course discusses Ohio real estate license law as it applies to disclosure and inspection requirements, and environmental and other risks for practicing professionals.
- REQUIRED Fair Housing in Ohio Online Course (3 Credit Hours): This is your chance to get up to speed on Fair Housing requirements and ensure you are following the law. This 3-hour online real estate course combines Ohio law and rules with the federal Fair Housing Act. No Fair Housing course would be complete without reviewing the act and its amendments. You will review actual Fair Housing cases and discover practical examples that give you the know-how and tools to stay in compliance.
- REQUIRED Ohio Broker Responsibility Online Course (3 Credit Hours): Being a broker and operating a brokerage come with additional duties and requirements. This 3-hour continuing education (CE) online course meets the Ohio 3-hour broker responsibilities CE requirement and covers: operating a real estate brokerage; creating an office manual; supervising and managing affiliated licenses; and audits, complaints, and consequences. You will leave this course with a solid understanding of the key components of running a brokerage.
- Buyer Representation in Real Estate Online Video Course (6 Credit Hours): As most professional buyer reps will tell you, gaining informed consent from a buyer can be the hardest skill of all to attain, and we teach you how to do just that. With real-world examples and interactive exercises, you are certain to retain this information for implementation directly into your business. From purchase and sale agreement to closing the property, this course will expose you to some of the best practices employed in the industry of buyer representation.
- Real Estate Finance Today Online Video Course (4 Credit Hours): In a changing financial landscape with new real estate reporting requirements, this course is an invaluable resource for your real estate career. You will learn about new developments in collateralized mortgage obligations, new flood insurance requirements, and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures. This real estate course takes the pulse of the current financial environment and explains it in clear language.
- Essentials of Technology and Data Security Online Video Course (3 Credit Hours): In this real estate course, you will learn why it’s critical to protect client and company data, including the primary federal laws that govern data security and privacy. By the conclusion of the course, you will be able to apply your knowledge to practical application case studies and have a clear understanding of what your brokerage’s policies and procedures should be regarding data security and privacy.
- 2022/2024 Association Ethics Online Video Course (3 Credit Hours)*: This course presents the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics and information on making ethical decisions in a 3-hour format that can be used to fulfill NAR’s real estate ethics training requirement. Through an in-depth discussion of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and case studies, you will be able to understand the responsibilities and duties required of REALTORS® and how the code can be used as a guide to proper conduct for all real estate practitioners.
- Unconscious Bias: Barrier to Service? Online Video Course (2 Credit Hours): This course examines unconscious biases and helps you to address it in your life and in your real estate practice.
