Arkansas Real Estate Licensing Information, Reciprocity, and Portability

Reciprocity
Arkansas offers partial reciprocity with the following states:

  • Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, and West Virginia
  • Steps to Real Estate License Reciprocity in Arkansas:
    1. Request a waiver of the general portion of the exam
    2. Pass the Arkansas law portion of the exam
    3. Provide proof of an active license in good standing
    4. The minimum score received in the current state must be at least 70% on the national exam
    5. Submit the required documentation and fees

Military Portability

  • Automatic licensure for a broker or salesperson to individuals who hold a substantially equivalent license in another U.S. jurisdiction and who are any of the following:
    • Active-duty military members stationed in Arkansas
    • Returning military veterans applying within 1 year of discharge
    • Spouses of the individuals listed above
  • Pay the initial licensing fee
  • Provide proof of a substantially equivalent license from another state
  • Provide proof of eligibility
