Mandatory Continuing Education Course
An individual involved in any profession or business must demonstrate ethical behavior to be recognized as a professional with whom the public would want to engage in a business transaction. Real estate is no different. Prudent licensees follow the law and do not act in any manner that gives others reason to question their behaviors or motives.
Ethical behavior not only reflects on the licensee's performance, but also the company with which the licensee is associated, as well as the real estate industry as a whole. The ethical behavior of an licensee can also affect lenders, the attorneys representing the parties, or other professionals involved with the transaction. Ohio has developed the Canons of Ethics for the Real Estate Industry to guide real estate professionals in their conduct. A violation of the Canons of Ethics is a violation of the law.
This 3-hour online mandatory continuing education course provides a flexible solution for professionals to meet the Ohio requirements on codes of conduct and ethics expected of real estate professionals within the state.
