Kaplan Real Estate Education has the appraisal courses you need to upgrade you license to the Certified Residential Appraiser level. In Wyoming, you must complete both the Licensed Appraiser and Certified Residential Appraiser education. We provide you with engaging, live licensing courses at our Denver, Colorado, campus. All courses have been approved for licensing in Wyoming.
When you become a Certified Residential Appraiser in Wyoming, you will be licensed to appraise residential properties of one to four units, regardless of complexity or value.
To meet the qualifications to become a Wyoming Certified Residential Appraiser, you must complete 200 creditable class hours (including the 75 hours you’ve already completed to become a Trainee Appraiser, as well as the 75 hours of Licensed Appraiser education). You must also complete 1,500 hours of work experience in no less than 12 months. Once you meet these two qualifications, you will qualify you to sit for the AQB-approved Certified Residential Appraiser Exam. Once you pass the exam, you will be able to apply for your license. To learn more about licensing requirements, visit the Wyoming Requirements page.
The Certified Residential Appraiser level of licensure also has a degree requirement. You must possess an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college, junior college, community college, or university. In lieu of the degree, you may complete several collegiate-level courses from an accredited institution. To see which courses apply, visit the Appraisal Qualifications Board website.
