As a Licensed Residential Appraiser, you will be allowed to appraise non-complex, one- to four-unit residential properties having a transaction value of less than $1,000,000. Under this license classification, you will also be licensed to appraise complex one- to four-unit residential properties having a transaction value of less than $250,000.
In order to become a North Dakota Licensed Appraiser, you must first complete 150 creditable class hours (this includes the 75 hours already completed to become an Apprentice Appraiser). You must also complete 2,000 hours of appraisal experience in no less than 12 months. In addition, you must pass a state licensing exam.
