As a Beginning Appraiser, you will be able to help perform appraisals under a supervising Certified Appraiser. You will be allowed to appraise properties that your supervisor is currently licensed and qualified to appraise. Your courses are offered by Brightwood College | San Antonio (Ingram)
To become an appraiser in Colorado, the first step is to complete 75 creditable class hours of state-approved education. At this level, there is neither an exam nor a license issued. While the Beginning Appraiser is free to begin working under the direct supervision of a Certified Appraiser at any time in the process, it is quite likely that most Supervisors will either want their trainees to have completed their first 75-hours of education or to be currently enrolled in the courses. If you want more information on the requirements, visit our Colorado State Appraisal Licensing Requirements page.
