During each 2-year licensing period, residential contractor and remodeler licensees in Minnesota must complete 14 hours of required continuing education. As part of this 14-hour CE requirement, each student must complete one hour of CE related to energy codes or energy conservation measures applicable to residential buildings. Our contractor school offers you a complete library of the continuing education that has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. These classes are developed and presented by experts in the industry and come in a wide range of topics, giving you the option to choose what interests you most.
Are you compliant with the EPA 2008 lead rule? Because this rule became fully active in 2010, the EPA has the ability to fine up to $37,500 per offense, per day. The RRP program is a federal regulatory program affecting contractors, property managers, and others who disturb lead-based paint. Kaplan’s Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program course fulfills the 8-hour EPA requirement for a lead-safe certification class and has also been approved for contractor CE in Minnesota.
